“I just received our photos from our wedding thank you, thank you, thank you. They are amazing. What a Fantastic job. It took me 3 hours to go through them all. It's going to be a hard pick to put them in an album. I'm so happy. I wish I could have the day all over again. You guys capture the moments perfectly.” Wendy
“Please pass on my sincere thanks to both Russell & JP. They were amazing & the photos on the blog are incredible – if this is an indication of what is to come – my lordy I can’t wait.
From the moment Russel & JP arrived they made us all feel relax & comfortable. Their professionalism & experience shone through which in hand helped in capturing what is truly us. Fun & relaxed shots were what we were after rather than formal & they delivered.
Thank you again we are most appreciative.” Melanie & David
“They are looking fantastic, can't wait to see the whole lot once you've worked your way thru them all. Have only awesome things to say about our brief time with yourself and JP, so thank you again for making it a painless and fun exercise that wasn't contrived or frou frou in the slightest! Tom was dreading any preset family portraits and from what I've seen so far the pics capture exactly how we were all feeling on the day. Pretty sure you can't teach that and some people just have it, we had a bunch of fun with the dynamic duo and you certainly got the best out of all of us as evidenced by the smiles on our dials! Also appreciate you agreeing to our silly requests like Priscilla roof top kombi shots and beach races for champagne rewards, they are the memories I will have for a lifetime. Big thanks to Catherine also for the lead up planning, she has the patience of a saint I'm sure dealing with the bridal silly season down here.
Take it easy and look forward to more photos.” Anna & Tom

Please send our thanks again to Russell and JP, they were able to capture so many great moments and we had such a fun time with them. We loved their relaxed, fun vibe and I think this shows in the photos.” Jas & Marcus

I do not want to take a combination of good surf photos over time, I also don’t want to remember myself for just being in the channel at the right time and right place capturing the surfers wave of a lifetime because in the end that’s not for me. As a photographer I want to remember myself for taking that “one” photo, not because of the surfers name or reputation but because of the position I put myself in to capture the moment in time, an amazing view of the ocean that can not be captured without an element of risk, its taken me years to actually find my niche within my photography and now I have its such a great place to be in”.
images are not usually starkly contrasted black and white. They combine black and white in a continuum producing a range of shades of gray. Further, many prints, especially those produced earlier in the development of photography, were in sepia (mainly for archival stability), which yielded richer, subtler shading than reproductions in plain black-and-white. Color photography provides a much greater range of shade, but part of the appeal of black and white photography is its more subdued monochromatic character.
